Soul Parents from NTSAD in their own words
Posted by Lynette on May 7, 2012 at 9:22pm I share today a newly released child,
phototographed by Natalia, enjoy this beautiful baby.
It was lovely to receive the Above and Beyond Award from the NTSAD Family Conference. Their words are so touching: The following is an excerpt of nomination submitted by Oralea, mother of William: “We eagerly jumped at the opportunity to have photos taken of Willam. To this day, those photos are some of my most prized possessions as they captured so many of William’s faces and expressions that have long since disappeared as his GM1 has progressed.
Lynette and Sarah have since returned to the NTSAD Family Conference over the years and continue to give their time and talents to the families attending. By providing their amazing talent tothe the families, they give us the most tresured of gifts-precious moments caught in time with our child.
During each conference, I have witnessed both Lynette and Sarah interacting with the families outside the photo sessions. Whether they are gently holding the affected children, giving a hug to a parent, or having joy-filled fun with the healthy siblings, they make everyone around them feel special and loved. “
The following is an except of a nomination submitted by Julie mother of Emma: “Our first photo shoot with these woman was incredible. They were both so relaxed, yet had such vibrant personalities. So effortlessly, they snapped their cameras, all the while talking to us and eagerly learning about Emma’s story and our family. They also made an effort to include our sons and give them special attention.
I was amazed at how quickly they seemed to “get” the complexities and the needs of all the NTSAD children in such a compassionate, yet straight-forward way. They have always recognized the beautiful and unique qualities of each of our affected children-it is very evident in their gorgeous photos.
Their generosity and creativity are outstanding. These priceless photos surround us each and every day-they grace the wall in almost every room in our home. They are some of our most treasured possessions.”
I think these words stand alone, so I close in love and peace, Lynette
