The week is wrap up the Artist Sale time

We are all working very hard here at Soul to finish up all the thank yous and loose ends from putting together an event that has so many wonderful people putting effort into making it work out to benefit Soul in the best way possible.  We are delighted with the amount of money we are seeing as our net——close to $32,000, which is 1/3rd more than we have ever done before.  The other benefit for us is the fact that people who care about Soulumination come together gathering support and connections that are invaluable.  We have always grown by heart, slowly but surely making a base of support that is solid and caring.

I am so thankful to all the people who helped out even more than ever while my dad was in the hospital at Virginia Mason, a hard stay for him that ended in his left leg being amputated below the knee.  I needed to be with my dad and close friends, especially Monique and Patrice stepped forward to set up my space and get everything ready so that the items I had created were displayed in a pleasing manner.

Hats off to many folks, those who donated greens, cookies, items that were made specifically to be sold with 100% of the revenue going to Soul, the set up crew, the unbelievable wreath makers, the cashiers, the greeters, the artists, the greeters, and so many more.  It was one incredible event and today we had our yearly lunch that I support financially in memory of my mom.  At this little party we were saying goodbye to Diane Shea who ran the sale for the last two years.  I know Diane will be part of our hearts and will work for Soul in many capacities, especially mentoring us to serve not only the public at our sale but lovingly helping each artist feel special and welcome.

We have been so busy with new Soul shoots.  We had photographers out with three families this weekend and Megan was booking three more shoots today with Clane out shooting at Seattle Children’s as I type.  We are seeing amazing photos coming in from our staff of volunteer photographers.  We have an adult shoot that needs to completed during the heart of the Christmas season so Megan is very busy with bookings and creating the gifts for each family.

I am sharing tonight the photos from Jen’s first shoot for Soulumination. This is Benton and his family and as soon as we learn how to update our gallery you will see him and his bio there.

We are having a tutorial right now from our web designer, I am creating this in a new site so hopefully it will post to the site once I sign off, so here we go, in love, peace, and much gratitude for all the support, Lynette
