Born prematurely at 24 weeks, little Abigail passed away when she was six months old. She fought hydrocephalus and a porencephalic cyst, among other conditions. Her mother will never forget “her feisty personality and how much she expressed herself. Just thinking about this brings a smile to my face—I miss her so much.”
Particularly memorable is one daily ritual in the hospital. “Every morning, around 5 am, I would wake Abi up and dress her for the day. She would get so mad at me and scream (silently, since she had a treacheostomy), but as soon as she was done and I held her, she was so happy. It was wonderful.”
Abi’s family would like to thank Seattle Children’s Hospital and Soulumination for so much support and care.
