Alexis Foster

Alexis Foster is a Pacific Northwest Native and founder of Dragonfly Herbs. Her work is based in helping others cultivate and maintain a sacred space for peace and healing. She first became interested in herbs and their healing properties from studying and participating in Native American traditional ceremony. The ancestral wisdom of smudging is seen as a bridge to the higher realms, a way to bring in good spirits and dispelled the negative or stagnant ones through the symbolism of the four elements: the shell represents water, the herbs represent the earth, the feather represents the wind, and the flame used to ignite the herbs represents fire. Alexis’s unique blends of cedar, sage, white willow bark, lavender, eucalyptus, mugwort, jasmine, lemongrass and many more combinations are infused with healing prayers and song.
How to use an herbal mix: ignite the mixture in a shell or fireproof Bowl and fan the smoke using your hand or a feather over and around the person and living space. The purpose is to wash away impurities, sadness, anxieties, dark thoughts, and any unwanted energies or emotions that may be clinging to a space or individual.
