in honor of Anthony

Anthony was born on February 10, 2004, and passed away from cancer on September 21, 2008. He was the son of Lisa and Jerry, the grandson of Patty and Jerry, and the older brother of Joseph.

Anthony was a charismatic little boy. At the playground, he could walk up to mothers he’d never met, take them by the hand, ask them to come play with him, and they would laugh and introduce him to their kids. “From the time he was a baby,” his mother remembers, “he was happy, and always happy to see everybody. He had the cutest little giggle. He was very open and would talk to anyone, and was interested in everything. He would ask a lot of questions.” His mother fondly remembers the things Anthony loved: “Toy cars, soft things, pretty girls, his pillow from his great-grandma, movies, playing in the sand, playing with water, and he loved ‘squirtles’ [squirrels].”

Anthony’s family wants to thank Children’s Hospital “for the wonderful care they gave him,” the Make-a-Wish Foundation “for the most unbelievable trip of a lifetime,” and the Seafair Pirates for “making him an honorary Pirate, and spending so much time with him.”
