in honor of April

April was born on December 4, 1995 and passed away December 31, 2010. She was the big sister of Adam and the daughter of Jim and Karen. April was born with a rare chromosome abnormality, hydrocephalus, a heart defect, and a seizure disorder.

April’s parents say that “April’s message to this world was that life is worth living. She could have given up many times, but she didn’t.” April was known and loved for her spirit. Her will to live was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. April’s mother remembers how “once, after having been in the hospital for several weeks, April went back to school and her entire class clapped for her. April had the biggest smile I’d ever seen.”

April’s parents would like to thank the South Sound Parent to Parent of Lacey, Washington, and MUMS (Mothers United for Moral Support).
