in honor of Auden

Little Auden, who was born on November 8, 2011, passed away from Alpers-Hottenlocher Syndrome on September 25, 2012. “He was incredibly thoughtful and inquisitive,” his parents recall. “He had a calm demeanor, enjoyed being around people, and always made others smile. He had the best laugh and his smile was contagious. If he wanted something, he never gave up on it. At only nine months, we could already tell he had a big heart and was as brave as they come.”

Auden’s family would like to thank the Seattle Mitochondrial Guild, “which allowed us to try a study drug free of charge. It didn’t work, but we were thankful.”
