in honor of Bryant

Bryant was born on April 5, 2005, in St. Ignatius, Montana, and passed away peacefully in his parents’ arms September 21, 2007 at Seattle Children’s Hospital. He was the son of Dewey and Meredith. Given only a five percent chance of survival, Bryant went through chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, and a life-threatening infection.

The family lives on an 80-acre ranch an hour north of Missoula, Montana. The town of St. Ignatius showed tremendous love and support for Bryant from the time he was born. After extended hospital stays, the family would come home to find billboards posted in St. Ignatius, welcoming them home.

Bryant’s parents described their son as “a very active and happy baby. He was just always happy. When he came down from ICU, his face was so swollen that his eyes were shut. Yet he was still smiling! He was so strong and good-willed; there were very few things or moments that bring him down.”
