in honor of Channon

Channon was born to Chris and Erva, of Seattle, on November 30, 2004, and has an older sister, Christianna. Channon was diagnosed with brain cancer at five weeks, and a tumor was removed in June 2005. In summer 2006, a second tumor was removed, and Channon now undergoes an MRI every six weeks to check for new tumor growth. She is walking and attempting to speak, with her speech affected by her surgeries. She currently receives speech and motor skill therapy.

Channon has taught her family that “no matter how small you are, you have the ability to change the way people live their lives. This tragic event has actually helped to bring us closer together and we owe it all to this little precious baby girl.” Channon continues to be an inspiration to everyone she comes in contact with, and has shown an amazing ability and will to live.
