Doug Reid

Doug Reid

Doug’s fascination with woodworking began in 1980 when he began building a cedar-strip canoe in a small garage in Seattle. This first humble garage/workshop has expanded with time and now sits on a wooded half-acre north of Seattle, Wa. Over the past 30 years Doug has handcrafted snow toboggans, game boards, wooden boats, hammock pushers, custom tools, furniture, and other unique items. His workshop constantly receives reclaimed lumber from across Pacific Northwest. Currently on the workbench are pieces from the Seattle’s fabled Kingdome and the classic 18th century schooner Wawona.

Featured at the 2015 Soulumination Artist Sale are Doug’s unique Libation Liberators and Letter Liberators. Each distinctive piece possesses elegant ergonomic design crafted from rare hardwoods and hand-finished with natural oils. This unique handcrafted process in combination with the chosen hardwood, results in variations in both color and size. As no two pieces are exactly alike, both the Libation Liberator, and Letter Liberators make a great gift choice for those unique people in your life.
