in honor of Emily-May

Born on December 23, 2013, Emily-May suffers from hyperinsulism—a genetic condition that she shared with her mother, and that requires removal of the pancreas. “I love that she takes everything in and is determined to figure life out,” says her mother. “She loves the outdoors, and enjoys looking at trees and flowers. We have gone to parks and zoos and her facial expressions are just amazing…nature just puts a smile on her face.”

Emily-May’s family is particularly grateful to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. “They have a good understanding of how to help children like Emily and me.”
