Emmanuel
Born on March 9, 1971, Emmanuel passed away from gastric cancer on November 26, 2010. He was the husband of Veronica and the father of Christian, Emmanuel Jr. (“E-Jay”), and Joshua. He was 39 years old.
Emmanuel is remembered as being extraordinarily kind and generous, carrying his loved ones through the toughest times in their lives. “He was always thinking of others,” his wife says. “The last two months of Emmanuel’s life were the hardest, but what stood out was how many lives he touched. Family and friends from far and wide came to visit, and the support…was overwhelming. He spent his life caring for us; we, in turn, cared for him when he was in need.”
Emmanuel served his country for 16 years as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy, where he earned four Navy Achievement Medals. “He was a soldier for his family and friends and well as for his country-a true hero.”
