Gabby P

Gabrielle “Gabby” was born on July 16, 2000, and passed away on August 31, 2006. She was the daughter of Dana and Joel, and the sister of Jasmin, Madeline, Judah, and Hannah. Gabrielle means “Warrior of God” and “Angel of God,” and her parents told Soulumination that “God created her with a plan, purpose and a destiny. She was everything her name means. Her strong yet compassionate spirit reflected Gabby’s deep love for Jesus and how much she loved to talk and sing about him. Her favorite song was ‘Awesome God.’ She knew He was with her on this journey called Life. Gabby is in God’s hands and there is no better place to be.”

Gabby was diagnosed in August 2005 with Anaplastic Malignant Oligodendroglioma. Surgery removed 70 percent of her brain tumor, but it grew back and spread within 21 days. She went through 32 sessions of radiation and several different chemotherapy treatments, including a research drug.

Gabby’s parents always loved her “amazing smile along with big, bright eyes. She always lit up a room. She never complained about her situation and she had an inner joy. Her laugh was contagious. She had a joy and peace about her and the ability to appreciate the little things in life only kids can enjoy. She loved being around her family, and was very close to her brother and sisters.”

Gabby’s parents would like to thank the Children’s Cancer Lifeline, and Seattle’s Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center.
