in honor of Kya

On December 15, 2013, new adoptee Kya came home from her birthplace in China to her new family here in the United States.  “Her medical condition was seriously under-diagnosed and misdiagnosed,” her mother says “She was a very sick child. And yet she had our hearts. We so wanted to have a little girl and to adopt.”

Part of her new family for only six months, Kya spent most of that time at Seattle’s Children’s Hospital, where doctors and nurses fought valiantly for her. “They tried everything they could to help her and eventually to save her life…but it was not to be.”
