If you’ve seen the YouTube video of patients in Seattle Children’s Hospital performing to Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger,” you’ve seen Lauren. She’s the one holding the hand-lettered sign saying, “FIGHTER.” “It’s very fitting,” her mother says. “Lauren plays roller derby and, in fighting cancer, is doing all she can to get back on her skates.”
Lauren is fighting Ewing’s sarcoma, in her left femur. Hard as her fight has been, her family is inspired by “her smile and sense of humor, her optimism and fighting spirit, her creativity.”
Lauren’s family would like to thank People Against Childhood Cancer, Rhema’s Reality NW Sarcoma Foundation and Dragonslayer for their help in Lauren’s fight.
