in honor of Samuel

Little Samuel was born on October 26, 2012, and passed away on February 9, 2013. He suffered from tricuspid atresia, which eventually caused bacterial meningitis, which proved fatal. “He was a flirt,” his mother says. “He smiled at all the girls.” His lovely and loving big sister Penelope was always able to console Samuel. “When he would start to cry, Penelope would start to sing, her song went ‘song-neh, song-neh,’ and he would always stop crying to watch her.”

Samuel’s family also wants everyone to know that “We love Seattle Children’s Hospital, especially the cardiology team and CICU nurses, and the Ronald McDonald House.”
