in honor of Spencer

Spencer came into the world at 25 weeks, suffering from necrotizing enterocolitis, on October 1, 2012. He has been cared for since by four different surgeons, and has been through three complicated operations. Yet to look at him, you’d think he had not a care in the world. “He’s good-natured, happy, cuddly, and strong,” his mother says. “When he smiles at you, you can’t help but think everything is OK.”

Spencer’s family would like to thank local blood banks in Seattle, Children’s Hospital, and the Global Alliance to Prevent Prematurity and Stillbirth (GAPPS), for wonderful care and support.
