Tara Clark: My passion for photography exploded while spending two years as a Peace
Corps Volunteer in Lesotho, Southern Africa. The time in Africa gave me an
opportunity to take award-winning cultural & wildlife photographs. Since my
return home in 1996, I transitioned into portrait & wedding photography. I
am now in my 9th year of business & love my job more today than ever. I
feel incredibly fortunate that my passion is also my profession. I truly
love working with my clients to document the most cherished times of their

with many of the photographic masters of Seattle.
Soon she was ready to make it on her own and began by photographing a
few weddings here and there. About the same time, she met Lynette

photography that she decided to follow in her footsteps. With the
help of Lynette, her photography career blossomed and has been very

Michael Good: I have been a photographer my entire life. I acquired my first camera at age six and spent much of that summer on my knees exploring my new found world of little creatures. This might help explain my interest in shooting nature photos now, but I was soon to find my true passion in photography was photographing people. The first part of my career was spent as a photojournalist and as the director-of-photography at the Rocky Mountain News, The Washington Times and the Akron Beacon Journal. What drew me in then and what still draws me in today is capturing the lives and emotions of people. I started my photography business in 1998 and have photographed over 300 weddings since then.

Janet Klinger: It all started with a gift: a Kodak Pocket Ten from my photo-loving dad. As a six-year old, it took only a day to discover how often doors will open with a camera at your side. That same sense of fun and fascination is still as fresh and exciting to me as it was during my childhood. As a photographer, I help others to capture beautiful and important life moments. I turn the pages of my own albums and meditate on the faces of people and places that hold meaning in my life: My beautiful daughter Ellie with her arms outstretched; my husband Tim looking up from the Sunday paper with a smile; my sweet sister Lily and my mother Kit in a happier time before I lost them both to cancer. I cherish the memories. Photographing people is my passion, my focus, and my life's joyful work. |

A Seattle native, Jon Ward studied science in college and worked as a lab assistant on an experiment that was later awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics. Upon graduation, he spent five years traveling the world as a Foreign Service Officer and then transitioned into the movie business, where he spent the better part of a decade directing independent films and writing screenplays for the Hollywood studios. But disenchanted with the L.A. lifestyle, Jon returned to the Seattle area a few years ago, intent on settling down. He now lives in Mountlake Terrace with his wife Laura and young daughter Tessa Marie. Jon continues to produce one or two short films each year and was fortunate to have discovered Lynette’s foundation while searching for a subject to document in March 2007 – resulting in the award winning short film, “Portraits of Hope”. And now a lifelong passion for photography has brought Jon full circle – from dark room editor/photographer for the high school yearbook almost 30 years ago, he now offers his services as a portrait photographer in the North Seattle and South Snohomish county areas. |
