Jerry C.
Jerry, who was born on April 6, 2002, has seen a lot in his 11 years. “He is a goofy kid trapped in an adult body,” his mother says. “His adult-like belly laugh is hysterically funny. Of course, he’s laughing at things that 7-10-year-olds find so funny, making his laugh all the more endearing.”
Jerry is fighting a very rare form of inoperable brain tumor that has taken away most use of his right arm and hand. “We hope it stops there,” his mother adds, “but have no idea if it will.”
Jerry’s family sees a “silver lining” in their experience with this, in that “we have experienced improved relationships with each other through this trial.”
Jerry and his family would like to thank the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, Seattle Children’s, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Camp Side by Side, and Peyton’s Ranch for their loving care and support.
