Born on August 18, 2012, Giada has grown into an “amazing” little girl, her mother says. “She has this ability to make you laugh. She is so mischievous, but you can’t help but not get mad at her because of the smile she gives you.”
One of her mother’s favorite stories about Giada highlights her cleverness. “She was really quiet one day, so I went to check on her. I found her cutting paper and fabric with big scissors—which she knew she shouldn’t have been doing. When I asked her why she did it, she responded, ‘Well, no one was watching me when they should have been watching me.’”
Giada’s family would like to thank Seattle Children’s Hospital, Jefferson’s Reserves, and Gamerocity for their care, help, and support in the family’s struggle with Giada’s HLH (hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis).
