Cody, who was born on November 26, 1997, has been fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for years and is currently in remission. His father succumbed to the same condition nearly ten years ago, and “Cody said from the beginning,” his mother tells us, “that he was going to fight this battle for his dad, and he would WIN!” He now is suffering from end stage renal failure and is on dialysis three times a week. He will have to be cancer-free for several years before he can be put on the kidney transplant list.
Cody’s family will never forget the wonderful gift from Child Life, at Seattle Children’s, which sent him by helicopter to Lacey so that he could walk with his graduating class. “He even got to fly the helicopter!” his mother recalls. The family also would like to thank the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for its help and support.
