Having served grieving children and families through previous volunteer and board work, Kato never expected to receive those services himself before the birth of his daughter. When his daughter was referred for a Soulumination photography session in 2018, Kato got to experience the power of Soulumination’s mission firsthand. That experience, along with his commitment to serving children and families in need, has led Kato to join Soulumination as a board member.

Kato is a Managing Director and problem solver in the financial services industry, adding those skills and connections to his years of nonprofit service to further the reach of Soulumination to those who need it most.

Kato lives in Steilacoom with his wife, daughter, and two very happy dogs.
