Legacy program features
Legacy program features
All legacy programs include a professional photo session and a secure online gallery of up to 60 unique images in both color and black and white. Each program also features custom legacy gifts including prints and mini albums.
We schedule one photo session per family. A second photo session may be requested should the passing of the patient become imminent. Should the patient remain hospitalized or continue to experience a life-limiting condition, a follow-up photo session may be requested once every 18 months until the patient turns 18 years of age.

Our Parent Legacy program serves families in Washington State with children 18 and under who have a parent facing a life-threatening condition.
Child Legacy program
Our Child Legacy program serves Washington families with children aged 18 and under who are facing life-threatening conditions. We also serve patients over 18 years of age who are being treated in a children’s hospital.

Capturing special moments
From group pictures to intimate moments, our professional photographers are adept at capturing it all. We encourage family participation and listen to suggestions to make sure we photograph what’s important to you. We do require that at least one parent or guardian be present at the session.
Coverage area
Coverage area
Our coverage area includes the greater Seattle, Tacoma, and Spokane areas. We can arrange sessions in hospitals or at a mutually agreed upon location, such as a favorite park.
Our photographers will not take photos at events or parties. As we work directly with families, we will also not take pictures at sessions organized by third-party organizations.
Session schedules
Session schedules
Photo sessions are scheduled Monday through Friday on a day and at a time that work best for the patient.
Sessions requiring an urgent 24-hour turnaround are reserved for patients experiencing unplanned removal of care or imminent passing. A two-hour minimum notice is helpful to secure a photographer and travel time.

Talented, experienced, and passionate, Soulumination photographers are volunteers who bring professional skills and thoughtful ideas to every session.
Photographers are thoroughly vetted during a comprehensive application and onboarding process that includes a portfolio review, background checks, and training.
